happy anniversary robert+alena :: greensboro wedding photographer

I am so happy to wish Alena and Robert a very happy first wedding anniversary today! Their beautiful Greensboro wedding was full of coral details, and her shoes are still one of my all-time favorites. Check out the memories from their day, put together by the fabulous planning mastermind at Behind the Scenes, Inc., here.

Wishing the two of you all the best and many, many, many more years of marital bliss!

Within three minutes of being around them, the love between Sheri and Mark is obvious. He lives to make her laugh, even at the most inappropriate of times, and she looks up at him with pure adoration. You would think they were two teenagers who just met a week ago. It's like puppy love, except true.

I met up with Sheri and Mark, another Behind the Scenes couple from the lovely Veronica Foster, yesterday afternoon at the Greensboro Arboretum. The weather was perfect, albeit still a little warm, and the engagement session was more like a nice leisurely stroll through the park with a few photo opportunities thrown in. If you haven't checked it out, the arboretum is absolutely gorgeous, open to the public, and pet friendly, too!

This is one of those times that he was trying really hard to make Sheri laugh while she was trying to keep a straight face - mission accomplished, Mark!

Sheri+Mark - I had such a great time with y'all yesterday, and I can't wait for your wedding in March! It's gonna be FAB!

You may remember Alena and Robert from their engagement session on the blog a few months ago. Well, this weekend, Josh and I had the privelege of photographing their beautiful wedding (props once again to Veronica and her team at Behind the Scenes) at the Downtown Marriott in Greensboro, North Carolina.

We loved working with Alena and Robert; they are such a sweet couple and so much fun and their big day showed it. It was complete with a photobooth, a dollar dance (we don't see this tradition very much in the South), and even some breakdancing by the children in attendance (thanks to A&A Disc Jockey for providing some great tunes).

Without further ado, here are a few images from the day...

Shoes, shoes, shoes.... can you tell I love shoes? Especially the sparkly variety.

I knew from their engagement session that it takes some coaxing to get a smile out of Robert for the camera, but he was all smiles all on his own when he saw Alena descend down the aisle.

Alena and Robert - Thank you for allowing us to be a part of the day you became husband and wife. Wishing you all the very best married life has to offer!
