I was so happy to see Shane and Jess's downtown Greensboro engagement session featured earlier this week on the Savvy Deets Bridal blog. This was one of my favorite engagements from 2012, and I can't wait for this adorable couple's wedding this fall.

I think it's safe to say that I've never met a couple who lead more parallel lives than Shane and Jessica. They both call Penn State their alma mater (We Are...), are both finishing up their MBAs at Elon University, and they even work at the same place. And if two people can be around each other that often, share so much in common, and still stay at least halfway sane, they're destined to be together in my book.
Josh and I met Shane and Jess through some mutual friends not long after we moved to Greensboro and have enjoyed many a Superbowl party and crawfish boil with them, so we were honored when they asked us to photograph their wedding next September at Winston Salem's Millennium Center.
Before strolling through downtown, we kicked off their engagement session at Bin 33, where Christina so graciously let us take over the bars for a few moments. Restaurants aren't your typical venue for engagement photos, but I just love the character they offer...
Could y'all look any more amazing?! You two look like you are straight out of a magazine.
We wrapped up the session in the historic Fisher Park just before nightfall for a few shots with more greenery. These were some of my favorites of the day...

Jamie is a woman who knows exactly what she wants when it comes to life, love, and her big day. I was so excited when she contacted me a few months ago to photograph her and Justin's late summer wedding at the Weir-Jordan House in Greensboro because of her bubbly personality and dedication to making sure her wedding day revolves around getting great photographs. We immediately hit it off, and I know that her wedding is going to be a lovely mix of classic and modern style and traditions!
I love it when a bride has her own unique ideas for an engagement session that reflect her and her groom's personalities and tell their story. We started off at one of their favorite places, the Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball stadium. They both love baseball, and they're devoted fans of the New York Mets.

Jamie looked AMAZING, and her killer hair and makeup was done by none other than my personal favorite salon and spa, Chakras.
We wrapped up the session at one of the best Greensboro eateries, Cafe Europa, where Justin and Jamie had their first date...
