I was so honored to photograph my sweet friend Claire and her fiance Spence last year in Tennessee, and I was even more excited to have their engagement session featured on Melissa Hearts Weddings over the weekend! They are such a sweet couple, and Claire is seriously one of the most beautiful people I know.  I can't wait to capture their wedding day coming up in December! leah+chris :: engaged :: charlotte engagement photographer

There is no greater compliment a photographer can receive than to have someone refer you to their friends, and I was thrilled whenever bridesmaid Thesha from Ashleigh and LeMar's wedding last fall told her friend Leah that she should book us, too!

Leah and Chris are such a sweet couple, and I was even more excited about their wedding when I found out Leah was from New Orleans. We bonded over talk of cajun food, Cafe du Monde beignets (the BEST!), and our mutual fandom for the Saints, and it was such a pleasure to have the chance to get to know her mom, sister, and niece, as well.

It's not often that I get the chance to work in Charlotte, and it was so much fun getting to photograph a new area. We started off the engagement session in Fourth Ward Park with a little football...

Tackling and touchdown dances!! These were some of my absolutely favorite images from the day... so much fun!

aaron+erin :: engaged :: winston-salem engagement photographer

Aaron and Erin, or as I now refer to them A and E (you have NO clue how difficult it is to photograph two people with the same name), are the kind of folks you just want to be friends with... or maybe that's just me, because a great pair of boots and a passion for good food? It gets me every time. It's couples like this that make me feel absolutely blessed to do what I do. Their love for each other is so evident in their interaction and their smiles are contagious, which is likely the very reason that these two seemed so completely at ease in front of the camera.

E and A went to high school together way up in Massachusetts (and randomly enough, with this groom of ours), but it wasn't until they both found themselves in the great Southern city of Winston-Salem that they reunited and started getting to know one another. It soon became apparent that fate had brought them to the same place, and Aaron proposed in the precious Grace Court Park, where we began their engagement session...

Next, we headed over to one of Erin and Aaron's favorite restaurants - Spring House - for a more elegant look. I just LOVE Erin's chic style... isn't she stunning?!
