Josh and I met Tim and Ashlea a couple of years ago through some mutual friends, and we were thrilled when these two got engaged and asked us to photograph their upcoming wedding at the lovely Childress Vineyards in Lexington, North Carolina.

Tim and Ashlea are so much fun to spend time with... Ashlea has a great sense of humor that never ceases to surprise Tim. There isn't a dull moment between the two of them, and you can tell that they love every minute of it!

We ventured out to a farm in High Point this weekend for their engagement session, reminiscent of Ashlea's West Virginia upbringing. There's just nothing like an engagement session complete with rustic barns, rusty nails, and hayfields, with the evening sun in the background...

wish upon a cake :: raleigh event photographer

For those of you who don't already know, I'm on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina chapter of a wonderful organization called Wish Upon a Wedding. Wish Upon a Wedding is a non-profit organization which provides weddings and vow renewals to couples facing life-threatening illnesses and seriously life-altering circumstances.

On August 7th, at the Marriott Raleigh City Center, we will host our first ever Wish Upon a Cake event to raise funds for the organization, all while having a really great time! This sweet event will feature cake artists from the Triangle area and beyond who'll be competing for the title of Best Cake, and as an attendee, you'll have the opportunity to taste their sweet creations and scout out a bakery for your next event.

parker :: two weeks :: high point lifestyle photographer

I announced a couple of weeks ago that our friends Mill+Brittany welcomed their little boy Parker into the world, and this weekend, we finally got together for his "official" newborn lifestyle session.

He has been such a joy in all of our lives, and I have to admit, I'm enjoying all this baby time! He is SUCH a sweet lil guy, and I'm so honored that I got to document this time in his little life :)
