A couple of weeks ago, I met up with Kamisha, one of my brides from earlier this year, to photograph a promotional Rock the Dress shoot for an event we'll be hosting next month.

Behind the Scenes, Inc. and I are teaming up to offer brides an opportunity to rock their wedding dress one last time in a fun and fabulous fashion-inspired outdoor photoshoot much like this one. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the North Carolina chapter of Wish Upon a Wedding, which grants wedding wishes to couples facing life-threatening illness and life-altering circumstances. For those of you who don't already know, I'm on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina chapter of a wonderful organization called Wish Upon a Wedding. Wish Upon a Wedding is a non-profit organization which provides weddings and vow renewals to couples facing life-threatening illnesses and seriously life-altering circumstances.

On August 7th, at the Marriott Raleigh City Center, we will host our first ever Wish Upon a Cake event to raise funds for the organization, all while having a really great time! This sweet event will feature cake artists from the Triangle area and beyond who'll be competing for the title of Best Cake, and as an attendee, you'll have the opportunity to taste their sweet creations and scout out a bakery for your next event.

duke gardens lifestyle session :: durham lifestyle photographer

I had the great pleasure of meeting Linda last year at the launch party for the North Carolina chapter of Wish Upon a Wedding, and I was thrilled when she won a lifestyle photography session I had donated to the event's silent auction.

We planned a session for her and her precious family at the lovely Duke Gardens in Durham, which if you've never been, you must go see. The gardens are absolutely beautiful and free to the public.

I had so much fun playing with this sweet little girl...
