It's hard to believe that I've followed Kamisha and Adrian from their engagement to a beautiful wedding to pregnancy and now, as they welcomed their baby boy into the world. I'm so grateful to be a part of this family's journey, and I was so crazy excited to meet sweet baby H last week at only 9 days old. Kamisha and Adrian welcomed me into their home to capture their love for this little guy and the sweet nursery they've created for him...

kamisha+adrian | maternity | greensboro family photographer

I was lucky enough to meet Kamisha and Adrian in 2011 when my business was just a baby, and they were brave enough to trust a new photographer with only a few weddings under her belt with the what was to be the most important day of their lives (A+K - I'll forever be grateful to to you for that). It was then that I first got to know them and their infectious happiness when I photographed their engagement session and sat down with them over dinner at Sweet Potatoes in what felt like a meal with old friends. The following year, I photographed their beautiful wedding celebration at The Lofts at Union Square in High Point, NC.

We've kept in touch, with Kamisha assisting me on styled shoots and meeting for the occasional coffee, and I was so insanely excited when she emailed me earlier this year to let me know they were expecting their first little one! It's truly one of the greatest honors and compliments I can receive when past clients invite me to continue documenting the most defining and exciting moments of their journey together. I met up with Adrian and Kamisha at the Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden in Greensboro last week for their maternity portraits (which basically turned out to be two hours of them laughing - at me and each other) in the beautiful fall evening light...

Adrian+Kamisha :: Thank you so much for continuing to allow me to photograph you as your family grows! I can't wait to meet your sweet baby boy NEXT MONTH!

kamisha :: rock the dress :: high point wedding photographer

A couple of weeks ago, I met up with Kamisha, one of my brides from earlier this year, to photograph a promotional Rock the Dress shoot for an event we'll be hosting next month.

Behind the Scenes, Inc. and I are teaming up to offer brides an opportunity to rock their wedding dress one last time in a fun and fabulous fashion-inspired outdoor photoshoot much like this one. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the North Carolina chapter of Wish Upon a Wedding, which grants wedding wishes to couples facing life-threatening illness and life-altering circumstances.
