Josh and I met Nate and Lauren when they moved into the townhouse complex we lived in a couple of years ago, and when Lauren called us last fall to ask if we'd be willing to travel to the Grand Palladium in Montego Bay, Jamaica for their destination wedding, we were ecstatic. When we began our business back in 2010, we had no idea that photography would take us to such a beautiful place, and we were so grateful for the opportunity.

​Nate and Lauren are two of the most fun-loving people I've ever met, and their destination wedding was nothing short of that. The week was filled with beaches and pools, fruity drinks and Red Stripe, dancing, "Ya mon", and gut-wrenching laughter. These two were married in a true paradise surrounded by some of the best friends and family anyone could ever ask for.

Nate and Lauren included some of their favorite treats from their home states and grits from their now home in North Carolina in welcome bags for each guest.​ Tastykakes and Better Made Chips made for a great pre-wedding snack.

Lauren... you made an absolutely STUNNING bride! Jamaica looks good on you :)​

In an interesting turn of events and due to having a difficult time hearing the officiant, Nate took Lauren to be his "awful wedded wife". Everyone, even the bride, got a good laugh out of it and it was a running joke for the remainder of the trip.​

Nate and Lauren - Thank you so much for taking us along with you to Jamaica to be part of your special day!! I hope y'all are enjoying your last few Pina Coladas, and we wish you all the best marriage has to offer!​

chris+leah :: married :: charlotte wedding photographer

​This weekend, we kicked off our wedding season with the wonderful celebration of Chris and Leah at the Hilton Charlotte University Place. I got the chance to know these two a couple of months ago when I photographed their engagement session, and I knew their wedding was going to be so much fun!

Leah flaunted her sense of style with some killer Gianni Bini rhinestone heels, a to-die-for 1920's style feather fascinator, and not one, but two wedding dresses. But even without all of those things, Leah would have been beautiful because her excitement to be marrying the love of her life radiated from her like sunbeams. It's always telling of a couple's personalities and relationship to hear their friends and family speak about them, and I can tell you that Chris and Leah's loved ones had only beautiful things to say about these two.

They concluded their epic celebration with a traditional New Orleans style second-line dance, which got everyone up and moving!​

Congratulations Leah and Chris! ​We wish you two all the best in life and love!

justin+jamie :: married :: greensboro wedding photographer

You may remember Justin and Jamie from their super cute engagement session at the Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball stadium, and hopefully, you checked out Jamie's Duke Gardens bridal portraits that were posted earlier this week.​

We were so honored to be a part of this sweet couple's wedding this weekend, coordinated by the amazing Ashley and Kat of Merrymaking Events. Justin and Jamie​ met via Match.com, and after a first date at Greensboro's Cafe Europa (one of our favorites), they immediately hit it off. They both love baseball and adventures and most of all, each other. Their wedding was a beautiful, laid-back gathering of their closest friends and family at the historic Weir-Jordan House in downtown Greensboro, and despite a little rain shower, it couldn't have been a more lovely evening.

Y'all know I love it when my brides and grooms see each other in a special moment before their wedding ceremony known as a First Look, and this one in the lobby of Print Works Bistro overlooking the courtyard was so sweet.​

​Justin and Jamie made sure their guests were entertained with a wedding Mad Lib and supplied late night snacks with a tasty trail mix bar.
