The High Point Furniture Market just wrapped up this past weekend, and I was thrilled to once again be a part of all the excitement. After a nearly two year hiatus due to our time abroad, it was great to warm back up to event photography with something fun and low-key. For those who aren't familiar with the furniture world, Market is a time when the otherwise quiet and calm little city we call home turns into a bustling metropolis of furniture makers, buyers, designers, and magazine editors. There are parties and events galore and don't you dare actually drive and park your car in downtown High Point (I've learned that lesson the hard way).

This year, I was approached by Karastan, a division of Mohawk, to photograph a tour and 90-year anniversary event they were hosting as a sponsor of the Design Bloggers Tour. The showroom featured a Roaring 20's theme as a nod to this special anniversary.

For a complete list of the design bloggers, pictured above, included on this year's tour by Esteem Media, see the links at the end of this post. The attendees were greeted with swag bags including the following Karastan branded materials.

A cocktail reception followed the tour, including indulgences from local favorites including Maxie B's and Josephine's Catering in nearby Greensboro, and I can't go without mentioning the beautiful florals by the always fabulous Just Priceless.

You may remember Tim+Ashlea from their beautiful farm engagement session a couple of months ago or Ashlea's bridal portraits that were posted to the blog just a few days ago. We were introduced to these two through mutual friends not long after we moved to North Carolina, and we were so excited when they got engaged and asked us to photograph their wedding!

It was a gorgeous, albeit a very hot, day down at the lovely Childress Vineyards in Lexington. The bridal party and guests were all troopers withstanding the 100+ degree temps to see them become Mr. and Mrs. (the wine slushies were especially helpful in keeping everyone cool... just one of the many benefits of getting married at a winery), and the newlyweds were awesome for putting up with the heat and humidity to get some great photos in the vineyards.

Just look at those shoes! Ashlea is a girl who LOVES bling.

I am in love with this sweet moment that Josh captured from afar of Ashlea's daddy walking her down the aisle... a good father/daughter moment gets me every time!

Aren't they just stunning?!?

Tim+Ashlea :: Thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your very special day! We had such a great time with you and all your guests, and we are so grateful to have you two as friends! Hope you're living it up and having an amazing time in Jamaica :)
