When Ana contacted me a few months ago wanting some portraits of her and her new husband who were married last fall, I was completely on board. Ana came to me with an idea of shooting for a princess theme. We wanted to keep it very whimsical and glamorous - kind of a modern, grown-up version of a fairytale - and I am ecstatic with the way the images turned out.
Spring House Restaurant in Winston-Salem was so kind to allow us to use their space, and their outdoor courtyard area with it's mix of the natural elements in the midst of a more urban area is just lovely - almost like a secret garden in the city.

I absolutely ADORE Ana's dress, and she looked truly stunning (just like a princess) in it!
These final three images may be my absolute favorites from the entire day. When Ana twirled in her dress, she looked like a giddy little girl playing dress up in her mother's closet, and I am in LOVE with the lighthearted, joyous feeling that brought to the photos.
