Aaron and Erin, or as I now refer to them A and E (you have NO clue how difficult it is to photograph two people with the same name), are the kind of folks you just want to be friends with... or maybe that's just me, because a great pair of boots and a passion for good food? It gets me every time. It's couples like this that make me feel absolutely blessed to do what I do. Their love for each other is so evident in their interaction and their smiles are contagious, which is likely the very reason that these two seemed so completely at ease in front of the camera.

E and A went to high school together way up in Massachusetts (and randomly enough, with this groom of ours), but it wasn't until they both found themselves in the great Southern city of Winston-Salem that they reunited and started getting to know one another. It soon became apparent that fate had brought them to the same place, and Aaron proposed in the precious Grace Court Park, where we began their engagement session...

Next, we headed over to one of Erin and Aaron's favorite restaurants - Spring House - for a more elegant look. I just LOVE Erin's chic style... isn't she stunning?!

ashleigh+lemar :: in love :: winston-salem lifestyle photographer

Just a couple of months ago, I had the great pleasure of photographing Ashleigh and LeMar's Greensboro wedding. Even before their wedding, we had been planning this autumn portrait session, and I was thrilled to get the chance to capture these two in all their newly married bliss. All too often, after the wedding is over, couples forget the importance of capturing all the life in between marriage and babies, so I'm overjoyed that Ashleigh and LeMar have this really special time in their life documented through images.

I photographed them at the always lovely Old Salem in Winston-Salem, and just loved Ashleigh's outfit choices. These two are full of so much love, life, and laughter... aren't they just precious?!

katherine+jp :: engaged :: roanoke engagement photographer

Katherine and JP met in an elevator in Arlington, Virginia, where they were neighbors. They struck up a conversation, and it wasn't long before the conversations led to dating. Their engagement followed a recent move to Roanoke, and I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their upcoming spring wedding in Katherine's little hometown of Asheboro, NC.

I met these two for the first time for their engagement session at The Patrick Henry, a beautiful historic building they call home. We started off with a glass of wine at the bar, both to capture one of many things they enjoy together and calm the nerves, and then headed out to the nearby areas to enjoy the lovely autumn backdrop.

Don't they look like they just stepped out of the pages of a J.Crew catalog?! I am in LOVE with Katherine's style!
