Austin and Ann Marie (or Ammie, as she's called by her friends and family) are one of the most vibrant, kind, and fun-loving couples I've ever had the honor of working with. If you spend any amount of time with them, they'll quickly make you feel welcome and comfortable, and you'll soon realize just how much they love one another.

I've gotten to know the two of them over the past several months from our initial meeting to their engagement session and most recently, Ammie's bridal session, and I knew that their wedding would be one to remember with the help of Faye from Coordinating Dreams. We started off the day with the bridal party getting ready at WinMock at Kinderton...

Without seeing each other, Austin and Ann Marie took a moment to pray together before they headed to the church. There wasn't a dry eye in the room...

Once everyone arrived at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Ammie's father saw her for the first time. His face was priceless!

After a beautiful ceremony, everyone headed back to WinMock for the evening's festivities. The bridal party were such troopers, toughing it out in the heat and humidity to get some great photos...

You gotta love a group of groomsmen with personality... check out their superhero socks!

Ann Marie and Austin, who you may remember from their Boone engagement session earlier this year, were married this past weekend in a beautiful celebration at St. Leo's Catholic Church and WinMock at Kinderton, and today, I am so excited to be able to share Ann Marie's bridal portraits taken at Old Salem and the Salem College campus in Winston-Salem, NC. 

We met up on a lovely sunny summer day to photograph the beautiful bride for the first time in her wedding attire, accompanied by her mom and sister. I just love Ann Marie's joyful spirit and her laid-back, do-anything attitude, and I had so much fun getting to spend the afternoon with her and her family! 

If you spend any time around Ann Marie, you'll quick learn that she loves to laugh and have a good time. I loved being able to capture this joy in many of her bridal portraits.

austin+ann marie :: engaged :: boone engagement photographer

Ann Marie and Austin were referred to me by the lovely Faye of Coordinating Dreams, and I couldn't be happier that she sent them my way. I almost always know from the first meeting when a couple is going to be a good fit, and I was certain that these two were a perfect addition to our 2014 wedding lineup. 

Not only are Austin and Ann Marie two of the most genuinely nice people, but they love to have fun and are a joy to be around. Most of our engagement session was spent laughing, and they certainly made sure it didn't feel like work. Despite a rainy forecast all week, we were able to venture to western NC and ended up having perfect weather.

We met up in downtown Blowing Rock, where we began their session with a little fun in the park...

Next, we headed just up the road to Chetola Resort, where the afternoon light was absolutely perfect...

We ended the day in Boone, where Ann Marie and Austin first met, and were lucky to find a gate open at the stadium on the campus of their alma mater, Appalachian State University...

How do I not have a pair of gloves that fun?! I see a search for Penn State pom-pom mittens in my near future.
